My Story

Title: Help us raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support ☕💚

I’m holding a Macmillan Coffee Morning to bring people together for a cuppa, some delicious treats and, most importantly, to raise money to support people living with cancer.( I will have Take away cups with lids) So no excuses not to have a quick pop in 😃.

Cancer affects so many of us, whether through our own experiences or those of family and friends. Macmillan provides vital practical, emotional and financial support to people when they need it most.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and will help Macmillan continue to be there for people affected by cancer.

£189 could help run our Online Community forum for 7 hours. In this time, 392 people affected by cancer in the UK can read and share experiences and support each other on anything to do with cancer.

Around £250 could support the offer of a personalised eHNA assessment and care plan for 50 people with cancer.

£294 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 day, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical, and emotional support.

£325 could cover the costs of room hire for a year and refreshments for a cancer support group to provide peer-to-peer support within a community setting rather than at a hospital, helping reduce travel costs for people with cancer in the local area.

£500 could pay for a Macmillan Professional to attend an advanced course in pain and symptom control. This would help the professional provide better advice to people with cancer on symptom management and dealing with the pain caused by treatment
