My Story
☕ Hippo Motor Group’s Coffee Morning for Macmillan 💚
At Hippo Motor Group, we’re coming together for a Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
It’s a chance for our Hippo family to take a little time out of the working day, indulge in some cake, have a chat with colleagues and most importantly, raise money for a charity that makes such a huge difference to people affected by cancer.
Cancer is something that touches so many of us. Whether it’s a colleague, a family member, a friend, a customer or someone we know in our wider community. Chances are, we all know someone whose life has been affected by cancer.
There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, and that number continues to rise, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds.
Macmillan is there for people from the moment they are diagnosed and throughout their cancer journey, providing practical, emotional and financial support. Their services include the Macmillan Support Line, Online Community, cancer information and specialist Macmillan professionals.
Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations, so every pound we raise can help them continue to be there for people when they need support the most.
This Coffee Morning is primarily about our Hippo colleagues coming together and doing something positive as a team, but we’d also love our customers and wider Hippo community to get involved and support us if they can.
Whether you join us for a coffee, bring in some delicious treats, make a donation or simply help us spread the word, thank you. Every contribution, big or small, will help us make a difference.
