My Story
The BRITISH LADIES CLUB of Luxembourg is very pleased to be helping me, Cynthia Albrecht-Lelliott MBE, host my 2026 Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support - the umpteenth edition of one of my many charity fund raising events! The event will take place in the usual location, between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m, and will operate along the same lines as in previous years: you bring a cake or something savoury and we throw in a coffee and sell it for you. All proceeds will be donated to MacMillans. Alternatively you can donate directly on this page with your credit card. Any contribution, regardless of size, will be greatly appreciated.
Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations and with your help they can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need; whoever and wherever they are.
There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this number is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds. But Macmillan is doing whatever it takes to ensure that everyone gets the best care available. They work with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience, including the Macmillan Support Line, award-winning cancer booklets, their Online Community, and Macmillan professionals.
