My Story
In the last year Macmillan Cancer Support has played a large part in my life and supported me through an unexpected and at times difficult journey. I am now hopefully coming out the other side, but as I know all too well cancer is increasingly common. I am hosting a Coffee Morning at Elliswick in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. It is a small way to thank them for the help I have received. Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations and with your help they can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need; whoever and wherever they are. There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this number is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds. Macmillan is doing whatever it takes to ensure that everyone gets the best care available. They work with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience, including the Macmillan Support Line, award-winning cancer booklets, their Online Community, and Macmillan professionals. I can tell you from personal experience that the support from Macmillan really does make a difference.
