My Story
Inspired by my good friend Lucy & her family I am hosting a Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Lucy and I became friends as at the time we were both small business owners, sadly Lucy has had to say goodbye to Lucy's Little Bakehouse but I am pleased to say we still remain good friends. I wanted to do something so I didn't feel useless & this just seemed the perfect thing given Lucy's baking history.
I'll be hosting the event in the beautiful surroundings of Crossley Gallery, Dean Clough 10am - 1pm. I am also offering a raffle with several prizes donated by local small businesses.
Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations and with your help they can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need – whoever and wherever they are. There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this number is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds. But Macmillan is doing whatever it to takes to ensure that everyone gets the best care available. They work with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience, including the Macmillan Support Line, award-winning cancer booklets, their Online Community, and Macmillan professionals.
