My Story

We are DIVADANCE, a dance fitness community based in Staffordshire and Cheshire. Like most people, we have been affected by cancer within our families but more recently it impacted our dance community directly, with the loss of two of our former Divas this year, the lovely Janet and Tracey.

This will be our third fundraiser for MacMillan and we are hoping it will be bigger and better than ever! In 2019 we raised £888 and in 2023 we raised just under £3000!

From a personal point of view I am doing this for my incredible Aunty Jen, who is still battling 8 years on. I am also inspired by my late Uncle Ian who passed away last year…incidentally our 2026 fundraiser will take place on what would have been his birthday, so I hope to do him proud.

Many of my Queen Squad have similar stories and are feeling the impact of cancer in their lives right now, as we speak. This is our way to raise vital funds and awareness for the invaluable service that MacMillan Cancer Support offers.

Our fundraiser will be like a typical coffee morning event (except in the afternoon!) - there will be tea/coffee, cakes, a star baker competition, a raffle, games and other activities to enjoy. But the thing that really sets us apart from other events is that we will be doing two special dance performances during the afternoon!

My fabulous Divas will be working extra hard behind the scenes as we prepare for the big day. Please help us to make this fundraiser the best yet by coming along to show your support for us and MacMillan. If you’re unable to attend, please consider donating instead as every penny counts. Sharing this page is also a brilliant way to help us achieve our target.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, love from Becky and the DIVADANCE Queen Squad 👑💋💃🕺🪩🎉☕️🧁
