My Story
There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this number is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds.
As many of you know this woman is my mum, many of you would have seen her in the Roger as she’s recently just taken over the pub. What many of you don’t know is that 2 years ago my mum got diagnosed with cancer, many of you don’t know this because she didn’t want the sympathy and for people to feel sorry for her. What you don’t know is that as well as living with cancer and running the roger she also works another full time job. At the moment mum is working from 8am-1am, 17 hour working days. Mums had an operation to take some of her cancer out but we’re currently waiting for a date to have another operation to remove more of her cancer. On the 13th of September we’re running a coffee and cake morning to raise as much money as we can for macmillan cancer this will be held at the Jolly Roger. We hope to see you there and please if you can donate, let’s raise as much money as we can.
