My Story

I am hosting a Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations and with your help they can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need – whoever and wherever they are.

There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this number is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds. But Macmillan is doing whatever it to takes to ensure that everyone gets the best care available.

They work with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience, including the Macmillan Support Line, award-winning cancer booklets, their Online Community, and Macmillan professionals.

Every £103 we spend on our Macmillan Support Line could lead to our Welfare Rights Team helping people affected by cancer find out about £3,000 in benefits they could be entitled to.

£189 could help run our Online Community forum for 7 hours. In this time, 392 people affected by cancer in the UK can read and share experiences and support each other on anything to do with cancer.
