My Story
We are hosting a Coffee Morning in Old Weston village hall on Friday 2nd October 10am to 12 noon in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Villagers from Old Weston, Leighton Bromswold and all neighbouring villages are very welcome to join us for delicious coffee/tea, cakes and a catch up with friends.
We are delighted to have raised over £5500 in the last 3 years for this amazing charity from this community fundraiser, please help us to smash our £1000 target again this year. We have already had a great start with over £300 raised from the sale of sunflowers earlier this summer.
Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations and with your help they can deliver the vital support people living with cancer need – whoever and wherever they are.
There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK and this number is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds. But Macmillan is doing whatever it to takes to ensure that everyone gets the best care available.
They work with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience, including the Macmillan Support Line, award-winning cancer booklets, their Online Community, and Macmillan professionals.
