My Story

We are honoured to be hosting a Macmillan Coffee Morning in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. This initiative provides an important opportunity to come together, raise awareness, and generate vital funds for the invaluable work Macmillan carries out in supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.

Every contribution, whether through attendance, donations, or participation, will directly assist Macmillan in continuing to deliver essential care and guidance to those in need.

We are proud to stand alongside Macmillan in their mission to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

This special event will be hosted at our office on Friday 25th September, and we warmly invite colleagues, partners, and guests to join us in support of this meaningful cause.

£54 could help a member of the Cancer Information and Support Team on our Macmillan Support Line provide someone affected by cancer with the information they need

Every £103 we spend on our Macmillan Support Line could lead to our Welfare Rights Team helping people affected by cancer find out about £3,000 in benefits they could be entitled to.

£189 could help run our Online Community forum for 7 hours. In this time, 392 people affected by cancer in the UK can read and share experiences and support each other on anything to do with cancer.

Around £250 could support the offer of a personalised eHNA assessment and care plan for 50 people with cancer.

£294 could pay for a Macmillan Nurse for 1 day, helping people living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical, and emotional support.

£325 could cover the costs of room hire for a year and refreshments for a cancer support group to provide peer-to-peer support within a community setting rather than at a hospital, helping reduce travel costs for people with cancer in the local area.

£500 could pay for a Macmillan Professional to attend an advanced course in pain and symptom control. This would help the professional provide better advice to people with cancer on symptom management and dealing with the pain caused by treatment
