My Story
Rowberry Morris Solicitors is hosting a Coffee Morning in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support on Friday 2nd October 2026, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, at our Reading office, 17 Castle Street, Reading, RG1 7SB.
This is a cause that is particularly close to our hearts.
Macmillan is 98% funded by voluntary donations, and with your support, they can continue to provide the vital practical, emotional, and financial support that people living with cancer need — whoever and wherever they are.
There are currently more than 3.5 million people living with cancer in the UK, and this number is rising, with someone diagnosed every 75 seconds. Macmillan is committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure that everyone living with cancer can access the best possible care and support.
Macmillan work with partners to provide services for people living with cancer at every stage of their cancer experience, including the Macmillan Support Line, award-winning cancer booklets, Online Community and Macmillan professionals.
For us at Rowberry Morris, this is more than simply a fundraising event. We have seen first-hand the difference Macmillan's support can make to individuals and their families during what can be an incredibly difficult and uncertain time.
Our receptionist, Karen, has her own personal experience of cancer and is now in remission. Throughout her journey, Macmillan has been a source of invaluable support, and even a year on, she remains incredibly grateful for the help, guidance, and reassurance they provided.
Karen's experience has reminded us that support does not stop when treatment ends. The emotional and practical impact of cancer can continue long after diagnosis and treatment, and Macmillan is there to support people through every stage of their journey.
Her story is just one example of why this cause means so much to us. Cancer affects so many people — not only those diagnosed, but also their families, friends, and colleagues. Macmillan is there to offer support, information, and a listening ear when people need it most.
We would therefore be incredibly grateful for your support in helping us raise funds for this fantastic cause. Every donation, no matter how large or small, can help Macmillan continue to be there for people living with cancer.
We hope you will join us for our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 2nd October 2026, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, and help us raise as much as we can for this incredibly important charity.
Thank you for your kind donation. It really will make a difference.
